This is view from Hawthorne St & 42nd of Mt Tabor off in the distance. See the green rise on the horizon?

This is view we will see as we walk westward along Hawthorne Street toward city center. Off in the distance you might spy a very slight rise under the clouds. Those are called the west hills and psu is located in city center beneath them.

Mt Tabor @ 60th and Salmon to the Willamette River is an easy to calculate distance since the river is in fact "0" so = 60 blks.  From river to Park (which is 8th block from river) and then up Park to openengagement is approximately 13 blocks = 73 blocks total. Maybe we will zigzag somewhere along the way to make it a nice, fat 75 blocks.

This adds up to a walk through one Portland heart-vein; full of bustling bloodlines made-up of quirkiness and neighborhood and peoples and commerce and diversity and river and old growth trees and street art and more pairs of feet walking than I can count.
