Emely wikisite: the walkabout on Sunday 15May11

On the 15th May, Richard Layzell will explore the geo-historical
landscape of a part of North London, which used to be a holiday destination for Central Londoners in Victorian times.  Meet 4pm at the exit to Manor House tube station (Picadilly Line).
Lily Gael will be walking at the same time in Portland. She is walking with artist-friend Karim Alladdine because she loves him, and desires friendships with artists. They are meeting at 8am pst @ Portland's own live volcano (Mt. Tabor Park) & walking along Hawthorne Street across Willamette River to city center where Portland State University & openengagement conference is headquartered.
ps. Lily also loves her artist friends Richard Layzell and Elspeth Owens {walking in Grantchester CP on Sunday, see http://imaginedcorners.net/home.html} & she thanks Rosalie who Lily looks forward to befriending one day.

Email Rosalie.Schweiker [at]gmail.com for updates and more information.

The walks are part of the

conference, which is happening at the same time in Portland (USA).
The Open Engagement conference is an initiative of Portland State University’s Art and Social Practice MFA concentration. Directed by Jen Delos Reyes and planned in conjunction with Harrell Fletcher and the Art and Social Practice students, this year’s conference features internationally renowned artists Julie Ault, Fritz Haeg, and Pablo Helguera. The work by these artists’ touch on subjects including democracy, group work, the boundary (or lack there of) between art and life, education, and transdisciplinarity.

If you happen to be in Portland, you can attend the conference for free (see schedule here).
